The Library is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Mathematics building.
Our collection comprises specialised holdings in Mathematics and its various branches (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Topology, Mathematical Analysis, Probability and Statistics), as well as Astronomy and Physics to a lesser extent. It consists of printed and electronic books, specialist journals (both printed and digital), and a significant collection of audiovisual materials (DVDs and CDs).
The most frequently consulted works are located in the Reading Room, which is open to all; the collection is organised by subject according to the corresponding UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) numbers. The remaining books (less frequently consulted works, older editions) are held in the stacks and must be requested at the circulation desk. Audiovisual material must also be requested at the Library desk.
The student lending service allows up to 7 items to be borrowed for 15 days, with one renewal permitted. Films can be borrowed for 7 days and can be reserved.
The Library facilities include an open-access reading room with 180 reading stations equipped with power sockets, Wi-Fi, stations adapted for people with physical and visual disabilities, and computer stations for research.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 9.00 pm.
